“I painted this during the week of the Chelsea Flower Show in May. I set out to paint that moment at the end of a hot day when the sun is warm and low, and everything seems to have a halo of bright light around it. If you take a photo the sky often comes out a really deep, theatrical blue to balance out the brightness and everything looks slightly unreal.”

The Flower Show, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for Cook’s Blue, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
