“Since I started this project I have been dying to turn the white of a paint chip into the white of a fried egg and I finally did it on Easter Sunday. The shadow that the wobbling yolk casts onto the white when the egg is still hot is a really warm, complex and beautiful colour. If you eat a fried egg anytime soon, have a look!”

The Fried Egg, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for Wimborne White, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
