‘This is a painting about seeing a dawn sky after driving all night long. I listened to Philip Glass film soundtrack music while I was making this painting, and really tried to inhabit that spacious, cinematic feeling that comes with watching a changing landscape and brightening sky through the window of a car’.

The Long Drive, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for White Tie, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
