“I made this painting the week the Northern Lights were visible from the UK. This was the view I saw from South East London. I don’t think I could actually see the Northern Lights - the glow came from the streets not the sky - but I love a view like this. Not the spectacular city skyline but this one, alive with stories and variety and possibility.”

The City at Night, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for De Nimes, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
